PROBLEMS!! Lights & Seedlings... HELP PLEASE PLEASE!
1- Well a couple are dead, dried out, burned... I started them like crap I guess. Ive started 4 new ones, this time germinating in rockwool, with water/PH mixture. If I germinate and start them from the begining in rockwool, the plant will find its way to the surface correct? Also, when do I start to put them under lights, right now im keeping them in a dark place, like Ive done with papertowel methods....
2- Lights: So I was changing an outlet in my house and the wires are I guess from hell, Half my household outlets are gone now, ive tried everything. If I have to run the ballast from an extension cord, which I know isnt reccomended... what can I do? All the outlets are pretty lengthy distance away. Maybe I'll just find a Serge protector with a long cable and use that as my extension. I need one for this anyways....Classicalboy57 Reviewed by Classicalboy57 on . PROBLEMS!! Lights & Seedlings... when the seedlings pop up from the cubes, put them under floro light for at least a week or 2. then if they are big enough, hit em with the big light.
you can place the flros as close as possible with out touching the seedlings, but at least one inc, cause if all goes right, you`ll need to move em up every day. also, only use 50% nute strength solution until your plant gets a few sets of true leaves.these young plants are ver delicate in the first few weeks, so be careful.

if i were you, i would buy a good surge protector, like one that is meant for construction type tools, grounded of course, that is what i had to do, it works great. that way it only pops the surge protector instead of the house breaker, if an overload occurs.

Thanks... Yeah I think I'll pick up a fluro for the first week or so, Sounds like what everyone goes with in the begining, works well... Fluro's are super cheap too. More lumens the better right?
