It seems like whatever state the board is in, even when it was the old marihemp boards on here, some1 is always claiming that its hostile and bullshit, thats cuz there always has been hostility with differing opinions, every single message board has it, and hostility is a part of human behaviour, so you have to expect it everywhere you go unfortuneatly.
But.............this is a message board, if some1 sez something you don't like, WHO CARES? it seems that a lot of ppl take to many things to heart on this message board, and the flaw with written text is that you can't distinguish between sarcy comments, serious comments, etc. so a lot of ppl misunderstand, fly off the handle, and then theres about 50 posts goin, 'Oi, fuck you' 'NO, fuck YOU'
It takes two to be hostile, not in real life bcuz sometimes it is unavoidable, but on a board you can just rise above it, without getting punched in the face or even having to see that person ever again! So why not next time some1 makes a BLATENTLY bollox comment like 'Ure fat, you smell' just don't reply, ignore it if you don't want any hostility, or reply with something polite, Res said in his other post summat along the lines of 'politeness is what really gets under arrogant ppls skin' and he's undeniably right, and this tactic is pretty fucking funny most of the time cuz they usually get angrier and just end up repeating themselves with insults, or even better they do a really shit insult, you know the ones that jus don't make sense, which just makes em look real, real dumb.
You want hostility off the boards, either rise above it or live with it.
