Cannabis/THC doesnt not kill brain cells. It's a commen mis-conception, and only proves that the persons arguing it are uneducated buffoons trying to look big and important, when infact, they suck their thumbs at night.

Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol kills one cell within the brain, called the Glioma cell. This cell is the only cell in the brain to cause cancer, and is infact not used by the brain for anything. By smoking cannabis, you are infact protecting yourselves from getting a brain tumour. For this reason alone cannabis needs to be legalised, not to mention the 1339459486846 other reasons that it should.

okay this whole "kills brain cells" is a total joke. i mean when got a 3.8 GPA and you smoke daily. that really makes you rethink the whole killing part.

I was reading a article couple days ago (I'll have to re find it) where this guy after 6 years of waiting got the reports on how this all started.
Basically the government took about 6 Monkey's and for a whole year everyday they would put gas mask over the monkeys and for 5 Min's for every 2 to 4 hrs(i think not completely sure the hour's between) but anyway would pump a whole once(some how).
Then after that they took 6 new Monkeys that didn't get the treatment and compared there brain cell's. well obviously the monkeys that didn't get the treatment had more then the one's that did go though the treatment for the whole year.

Here's the thing they left out.
if they people someone in a gasmask for 5 min's with no air but with only smoke for lets say ever 3 no wait lets make that 7 hr's between each treatment.
What i am getting at is, theres no Oxygen in the mask when they where doing these testes. And well with no Oxygen for that amount of time everday "WELL IN FACT KILL BRAIN CELL'S"

While infact its all down to oxygen deprevation.

Those idiots in government couldnt carry out a REAL experiment if they wanted.

I dunno whether or not it kills brain cells, but I highly doubt it kills any more than just living day to day would. However, I do experience a problem after smoking hard for a while. What happens is, my vocabulary starts to suffer. Not common words, but words I use less frequently. I'll know there *is* a word, I'll know that I know the word, and I'll know it's appropriate to use the word, but on the way to retrieve the word from its mental compartment my brain gets lost and I can't cough up the word I want.

If I quit smoking for a month or two, my vocabulary repairs itself, and eventually returns to normal. Because it *does* go back to normal, that's pretty good evidence that whatever is going on is temporary. It is somewhat annoying though, to lose access to parts of my vocabulary. It is the one unambiguously bad side effect of pot for me. It's not a major deal, but I wish it didn't do that.

lip do u have a study or document that can be refered to? its not that i dont believe u, its just if i ever use this in an argument then it will look better if i have somesort of offical paper

Number 23 is interesting. It talks about the Glioma tumour, and all the other cancers that cannabis can control/ prevent.

Another very interesting application is that of Skin Cancer because of the cannabinoid receptors in our skin.

Another thing that will work in your favour in ANY argument, is the first few thigns on the list...

Mothers give their babies a booster of cannabinoids to get the child to eat, as they dont know how.

That is basically saying ANYONE who has EVER breastfed their child, has infact given them cannabinoids, without which we'd all be dead.

And they think its bad? Oh, so if it didnt exist what would happen... give birth and the baby wont eat..

Some people argue all these points and have no idea what they're on about.

Cannabis is the safest "drug" ever. It's also one of the oldest, if not the oldest.

Without cannabis, we would be alive.
