If the pipe was used it probably has a degree of res inside. At the very least they'd probably hit ya with a paraphanalia charge.

If your piece was new and unused they couldn't charge you with squat. Since you MAY have purchased it to smoke tobacco.(unless you live in 1 of those bible belt towns with wierd "blue" laws like I did.THey had the ordinance worded so that ONLY briar pipes like Dr grabow were legal.Even fucking CORNCOB pipes (which they sell in stores) were "paraphanelia"

I'm pretty sure the MOST they could hit you with is a "paraphelnalia" charge.Unless that pipe was dirty as fucking hell.They would need enough illegal substance(weed) to both TEST in a lab, AND a chargeable amount left over to use as evidence in court.Your pipe would have to be TOTALLY clogged with tar and resin for them to be able to manage that.

The cops aren't going to scrape your pipe to see how much resin you have.
