yup those work (6500k) (2100) but what they are trying to say is while yes the floros will work but you would need like 20 of those tubes for it to be worth it while a single HID bulb will do much more.

if it was me id just invest into a 400watt hps and grow 4 plants you will get more out of those 4 plants vs. what the tubes would do with 10

do that, maybe even get a 600w hps with a 600w mh conversion bulb.. not like you're going to get 10 fems, so that should be a good amount of light :stoned:

also, with HID lighting does it have to be close to the plant? like will it stretch if it's higher up?

floros have to be really close to the plants. hid's get too hot to get them anywhere near your tops(around a foot for 400w and under--18" for bigger 600,and 1000w bulbs)

kgod these ppl are more experienced growers then me but listen to me cuz ur the same way i am(cheap) and i get what answer you are looking for and my plants are coming along great with 2 compact floros per plants

Correction not more wattage, MORE LUMMENS, cause u can have 400w of fluoros vegging and they wont put out as many lummens as a MH or a HPS...:stoned:
