The average height for males in the usa is 5'9" (175.5 cm) and for females 5'3" (162.6 cm). What do you consider short/tall though?

I'm between 5'6" and 5'7" but I always feel short. I think for males anything under 5'8" is short and over 6' is tall. For women I guess under 5'2" is short and over 5'8" is tall.

(btw for those who don't use the jacked up american system ' = foot and " = inches... 12 inches to a foot... 2.54 cm to an inch)

idk, anyone 5 6 and lower i think are a little on the short side, tall would be around 6 foot, average i agree is 5 9, im 5 10-5 11 and growing

I'm 5'2 and have been since I was around 12. I kind of wish I was taller but at least I can wear tall shoes and not be taller than my boyfriend (who is around 5'9 I think).

I was watching the little league world series today and this 13 year old was 6'8. itsn't that insane. He wore a size 19 and this kid is fucking 13!

Yeah I saw that on sportscenter last night. They said he's taller and wears a bigger shoe than Shaq did at his age. I love tall guys, but 6'8" is like freakishly tall. Gotta be hard trying to date and being that big.

Last time I checked I was 5-7 5'-8"I think... What makes me look short is the leg to torso proportionality...

Now look at my Avatar for example... she's got long slender legs,that makes her look good,even if she was short...
