how long 1st time grow

Hi Im on my first grow n my plants are flowering nicely lots of white hairs but only a couple of brown ones they r 45 days into 12/12 cycle I have read that it can take between 45-60 days before they r ready but is this 45-60 days from going on 12/12 or from when they start to show signs of flowering? (mine probably took about 14 days before they started to show any signs of flowering). Also when y start t see y first brown hairs how long does it take before they r ready? I know I seem inpatient but I made a mistake with my timing I should of put em on 12/12 a couple of weeks earlier than I did cos Im off on holiday in just under 3 weeks n I dont really want to leave the harvesting and drying of my babies to the cat sitter. Does anyone have any tips for pushing them along? n what are my chances of them been ready sorry no pics but they have loads of white hairs with only about 6 brown ones on the whole plant.

the best way to tell is by the tricomes,try to find a 60x microscope and trim a leaf and look at the tricomes,take a look through the grow facs and you will get some great info on this.also you start counting when you flip to 12/12

thanks for that Ill try get a microscope at the moment Im just using a magnifying glass but so far the just look clear although the mag glass isnt great. Seeing as y start counting on 12/12 I should be ok as Im 45 days in now. Im not too worried about getting em dried before I go on hol as Im not leaving the country n I only have 2 plants I can stick em in a jar for journey n dry em when I get there its just the harvesting part I need to do before we go.

magic bud from paradise seeds. I didnt want t spend too much cos I tried to grow some herbs (real ones not dope) n I killed em lol. So was a little apprehensive about spending lots of money. I bought feminized n only planted 2 seeds didnt germinate cos paradise website said just t stick em muck n theyd grow within 5 days they were coming through. Used incorrect lighting from day one n got loads of stretching they r about 4 foot tall n lanky but r getting some nice buds also I left em too long before putting em on 12/12 and I used crap ferts.
The plce we r going on hol has the shop I got my seeds from so will buy the correct fertilizer also gonna get envirolites blu n red n gonna order some mylar for next grow. But I love my babies even if they r nearly as tall as me. Id recommend em to anybody for a first grow

A 30x microscope will do just fine. Try to find one that has a light attachment. If you don't already know you are looking for creamy glands. There is nothing you can really do to accelerate the plants life during flowering. If you really have to you could harvest now but the THC quality will not be as high.

I can leave em another 16 days max Im just worried that they wont be ready in time Ive been looking for a microscope today found a cheap kids one in argos 100x and 200x mag didnt get much chance t look cos they were closing but think it will have some sort of light on it cos it takes battries. Going to have a look on net see if I can find owt better if not will go get the other on Wed

will do checked on em today both of em now have orange hairs Im not too worried now despite the stretching they r looking good cant wait t get my microscope will be able to have a proper look then
