Well i went and bought an adapter and i'm very disapointed. When i hook up two pc fans and turn it to 12 volts it barely moves any air... I don't see how you guys hook up 6 fans to a single adapter.

Hmm... that is odd. I cooled a 70w HPS cabinet for years using only 2 12v computer fans. The must be something wrong. Mismatched voltage, or maybe your adapter is running short in the milliamp department (maybe it is a cellphone charger or a trickle charger). Or maybe you were expecting hurricane for winds out of a couple small fans? Try a different adapter.

It's ood because it says 1300mA, but then i found an older phone adapter laying around the house that is 12V and 500mA and it blows stronger than the 1300mA one.

buy these 115volt , 81cfm, quiet, computer fans, http://www.coolerguys.com/840556026389.html ... and be done with all that adapter crap ... I have one, and it is very heavy-duty, seems like it will last a long time ... :smokin:
it\'s disgraceful what the dumbass website owner \'Sundance\' did to this website, it used to be the Best

I like those 115v fans myself, and use one in each of two small cabinets. They've been working great, for quite a while. I tried that computer fan wiring shit too, but that just didn't work out well for me, so I got those ones that just plug in. I like simplicity!

Well i've figured out how to wire the fans fairly well just wish i didn't spend the money on that weak adapter as i don't even need it.

Ok today ambient air temps was cooler and so was the cabinet. I've measured it a couple times and it seems to be staying around 79F. So i still need to make a decent inlet and add a ciculation fan inside the cab. That will come tomorrow, i should also have pics soon.
