    canoe leaves?

Hey all. Just discovered my soil Ph was at 8 (indoor). Tried to bring it down by watering (it was due) with an ammonium sulfate solution which measured about 6.5. The next day the leaves were perkier but have begun curling up all around the edges, not the tips, kinda like a canoe. What the hell did I do this time? lol. Would appreciate any answers and fixes with idiot instructions if you would (i.e don't say flush it, say pour a gallon of water over it once or twice) as you're dealing with a dolt here!

On a second note, the tap water in my area measures a Ph of 8. How do I water w/o raising the Ph each time? Gracias!

    canoe leaves?

mine are doing the same thing so I would be curious as well....
I actually have never grown cannabis, and since it is still stupidly illegal, I would NEVER EVER think of doing such a thing. All that I post here is complete fiction that I pulled out of my ass. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

what you need is a PH tester and PH down they are a must in almost every situation and some tap water like mine is super hard water (900ppm) and cannot be used as it can interfere with the uptake of nutrition and such...

one of the easiest things to use is distilled water but it is useless unless you also add CALMAG plus to it and i highy reccommend this stuff it works wonders.

    canoe leaves?

i solved this by getting a big barrel and filling with water every few days. i never use straight tap water. PH Down is essential, but learn from my mistakes add it carefully. Its dynamite.

the side-curl is definitely PH related (but i dont know why) - that happened to me when i changed from my barrel of water to standard tap water for a few days, as my bartrel was empty ..it will sort itself out

maybe its a reaction to a PH change..thats all i can think

Can also be Molybdenum deficiency. It's odd that it should occur very suddenly. It could be a delayed reaction to Mb uptake being blocked by out of range pH.
Why don't you run your house's gutters into a rain barrel?

Used Amonium Sulfate to bring down the Ph, of course used too much and got a bit of Nitrogen toxicity. Flushed it w/5 day old standing water, which did the trick. I love the rainwater idea, but in the meantime am letting the water stand in a bucket for 3-5 days between waterings. Ph is right on target now and all is right with the world.
