Weed causes cancer?

Weed doesnt cause cancer.
Tobacco doesnt cause cancer.
It jus increases the chance of you developing cancer.

UCLA recently published a study that showed even heavy smokers don't have an increased risk of developing lung cancer. They think it has something to do with weed killing of dying lung cells.

I read an article/study about the dangers of cannabis a couple of weeks ago. (Not a "pro-cannabis article" btw.) A study trying to find out how tobacco and cannabis was related to lung cancer said someting like this:
every subject tested started with a probability of 1 to get lung cancer. Users of tobacco had something like 32 times bigger chance to get lung cancer. Cannabis users (as long as the cannabis wasn't mixed with tobacco naturally) actually ended up with a 0,8 chance. So the conclusion was that smoking weed actually seemed to make it slightly less likely to get lung cancer then people that did neither tobacco or weed. Badly explained, but hopefully you get the point..
Other studies have shown similar results, at least none of the studies has shown that cannabis smokers are more likely to get lung cancer then people that didn't smoke anything at all.

I've actually heard that weed kills certain brain cells that can form brain cancer on them. I dont know if it was just some myth though.

i heard the same thing. the only brain cells marijuana kills are cells that can possibly give you a brain tumor, therefore it is actually beneficial for your brain to smoke marijuana

Ive read all the new reports about weed not causing any cancer even for a "heavy" user. I showed this to some people and preached it to them. But this is the part where I'm confused they all agreed that weed was safe and didnt cause cancer but they said the chemicals that you use to grow it hydroponically are what cause the cancer and bad effects and bad health.


I totally think all organic fertizlizers are safe in any growing conditions what are you're thoughts?

If done incorrectly (ie, not flushing), yeah the chems are probably gonna be carcinagenic. But, also, smoke of any kind is a bit carcinagenic ... as well as sunlight ... and air ... and movement ... and fuckin cosmic rays. HAHA
