Weed causes cancer?
Ive read all the new reports about weed not causing any cancer even for a "heavy" user. I showed this to some people and preached it to them. But this is the part where I'm confused they all agreed that weed was safe and didnt cause cancer but they said the chemicals that you use to grow it hydroponically are what cause the cancer and bad effects and bad health.
I totally think all organic fertizlizers are safe in any growing conditions what are you're thoughts?lilweedprincess88 Reviewed by lilweedprincess88 on . Weed causes cancer? That's complete nonsense, because many consumables, such as tomatoes, beets, squashes, corn, and even tobacco are made hydropaunically, and I doubt that the popularity of hydropaunics would continue for much longer if it was carcinogic. Sounds like more propoganda bullshit.

The smoke has carcinogens, just like breathing in too much smoke from a fire.
I have a theory that the weed's healing properties counteract that.

As far as hydro goes... always flush your plant correctly, please. That's always a big disappointment when for some reason you can't go to your normal source... so you check out some other highs... only to find out that it has been flushed right and leaves you feeling like you just inhaled powdered glass.
Burning anything causes carcinogens... this is why vaporizing is the best medicinal method.
Yeh... I've heard something about thc cleaning tar off the lungs or whatever... i believe for the fact that once I started vaporizing... smoke is a lot harsher than it used to be.
Nothing beats a good spliff while paddling down a river, though... or hiking / camping, etc.

It has nothing to do with hydroponics. Whoever said that should think before they speak.
You see, the debate isn't whether or not weed contains carcinogens, it is known that the smoke from dried plant material contains carcinogens. The question is two-fold, in that it's more about what the smoke does to your lungs and if it's really the carcinogens that cause cancer (sounds stupid right? Lemme explain)
Tobacco smoke restricts the alveoli in the lungs, which both not only invites in tar and carcinogens but also creates a place for them to "stagnate" so to speak, which are the conditions needed for cancer to begin. However, cannabis smoke dilates the alveoli, which may or may not result in less tar being held in the lungs.
It has been believed by many different, albeit liberal, scientists out there that it may not be the carcinogens causing cancer, but instead the use of polonium-210 to grow tobacco. The FDA approves this radioactive element on food products, as it has been shown to cause no harm. However, no test has been done to prove the health risks of smoking plants treated with polonium-210. This may or may not be because it would slow down tobacco industries exponentially, seeing as how the tobacco plant can be a cumbersome (ooh, word of the day) plant to grow.
However, you can't let all of this get in the way of common sense. Of course putting the smoke from dry plant material in your body can't necessarily be good for you, and the safest way to smoke cannabis by far is through a vaporizer.
Wow, I can't believe I just typed all of that. Oh, and I'm not saying all of this is 100% accurate, either. If you were presenting this for someone, you might want to back up my facts first. Then again, you should always do that, even if you hear something on the news.

Weed causes cancer?
i have heard from multiple people and even one big time grower (i've seen his plants he has a full room for them)
they all agreed that the chemicals used in the water DOES increase the health risks. not to a very extreme extent, but it's not as healthy as natural growing.
please don't jump all over me, it's just what i've heard and i'm sharing it with you.

But see the thing is, you can grow organic hydroponics and do a chemical soil grow. Hydroponics doesn't necessarily mean you'll be using crazy chemicals, although an organic hydroponic is harder.

Oh, and sorry if this seems like jumping on you. I'm just trying to follow up that thought process.
