Guide to these forums and dealing with Moderators
As a moderator elsewhere and having been moderated at various points in my life, let's try it this way:
The correct way to deal with a moderator is to respectfully voice your concerns and make your points without:
1. Cursing
2. Insulting
3. YELLING
4. Accusing
5. General foolishness
A moderator sprimary function is to moderate, as in control the flow. In general (b/c every forum is different), they are not babysitters, psychologists, referees, or punching bags.
Forums in general are PRIVATE. You may have public access, but the rules governing them are subject to what the administration feels is right. You may agree, you may disagree. HOWEVER, once you agree to join and click on the TOS, you have agreed to ABIDE by the rules set forth.
Over the last few weeks, the juvenile foolishness has pissed me off to no end! People express their views disrespectfully, get banned, and then want to complain about the moderator that banned them. Maybe if you showed some damn respect and courtesy to begin with, you'd fuckin get some in return.
I had my own recent issue with a moderated action. I respectfully asked my question and got a respectful answer back. I respectfully posted my opinion on the general situation, and I got respectful replies back. It's not that fuckin hard people!
