I doubt it's $20/month just for that. Unless you're talking about those huge CFLs, the 125-watt+ ones (real watts, not 'equivalent watts') that are like a foot long. If you have a bunch of incandescent lights being used in the house, replace a few with CFLs and your bill wouldn't go up at all. It might even go down.

CFL cost I was wondering how much extra you can plan on spending on your electricity bill if you have 3-4 CFL's on an 18/6 cycle and a small desk fan on low 24/7? I am guessing its only like 20 dollars more a month, but i have no clue and i live at home, so i would like to know if i have to worry about the bill having a giant increase and then questions start to arise.
