    We have a problem

Well i started to set up a cabinet, but ran into a slight problem. Actually a huge problem. The light doesn't fit. I'm running a Sun Systems New Wave 24 and it is 3/4" to wide for the inside of a cabinet. So how can i fit this bezzy in there?

Well i came up with the idea to plane/saw a channel 3/8" on each side so i could squeeze the wide part of the light in. I have a picture posted below with the blue area being where i would create a channel.

If you have any comments or other ideas please let me know.

    Thanks

I might have just got an idea. I could turn the cabinet on it's side. I would lose a couple inches in height, but i would gain like 5+ inches in width. This way i could tie the plant down and keep it short and bushy. That just may work.

Turning on it side will work, just have to have easy access to the plants.

aside from the light fitting easily with it on its side, the more airflow you have around the light, the cooler your chamber will be. If you only lose a few inches of height, sounds good. Me? I like planing wood (even if it is MDF or something) cause I like tools. Plus horizontal space is always more of a premium in my rooms then vertical.
