    need help

    :rasta: Basic setup
For the first four weeks (Grow phase)
    125 watt ez grow light
Drip watering: water flows down two trays and drains back to holding tank.
I use General Hydroponics products using their feeding chart for flora Nutrient. Lights run 18 hrs.
    Bloom Phase
    400 watt sodium bulb
I transplant them into 3 gallon buckets.
Watering is the same, it flows into the buckets and drains back to supply.
I change the nutrients once a week.

There is no high tech equipment. I use 2 fans to blow the air around timers for light and water, thatā??s it
BTW the growing room is a big walk-in closet

Now here is my problem. First crop (Mex seeds) grew fine and a nice smell around week 3 or 4. they grow fine, but the buds were real loose with long red hairs. Nice simple smoke.
Second crop: more mex same methods, but now no smell, 3 weeks before harvest, I started to prune the big finger leafs. Same thing, the buds were loose and long red hairs. But the quality is crap:confuse . I have smoked some weed from a Medical grower and it was kick ass and tight bubs:thumbsup: . I tried someone elseā??s homegrown and again kick ass weed and tight buds with great smell. Anyone have any ideas as to what Iā??m doing wrong or what else should I be doing?

High temps will cause loose stringy buds like you described, so can weak lighting.
