    Please Help.

Hey guys I'm doing my first grow in a few weeks and I have some major lighting problems. I don't really wanna grow huge or anything, just something like 2 nice size plants for my own use. But, My main problem is I live in USA, and well I've already spent most of my money on seeds, and I still need a good lighting system. I was wondering if there is any cheap-ish solution for lights since HPS and MH lights are always atleast 75 bucks around here (flood lights) Also I was wondering if any American growers know of any places, or types of places where I can buy these lights in my area. All I seem to be able to find is REALLY weak Fluro's or Halogens, and I figure halogens are far too hot. Iunno, can I use these or should I keep looking? Maybe if I don't aim then directly, but still reflect the light enough to get a good amount in there?

Thanks alot for the help, any tips/solutions would be freaking awesome.

P.S. My setup will be a small corner in one of my closets, large enough to hold plants but a nice place to hide them, plus I can keep the smell down easily in there. Again, any response will be useful, thanks.

OH YEAH, 1 more thing, what is the best way to sprout seeds, sooooo many choices. :P

See that's the prob, I know a grower around my area so I just paid him 20 for a 5 pack of seeds. I don't have a CC..... So if I'm going to buy this crap it'd have to be locally.... And well like I said all that is around here is Flood lights for like 75+++ and well I wouldn't buy that anyways just because I'm not going to install a flood light into my closet. lol Send me the link anyways, but yeah any other options would be much better.

You have to tell us where you are before we can tell you a local shop!!!

Don't bother with the floodlights, they're not really what you're looking for. You can start out just fine with CFLs, then use a HPS flowering. But if you haven't read the FAQs yet (I assume this is the case because of your germination question), start there.

There ya go. Nothing like Google-ing to find what you need.

The paper towel method that everyone talks about is very dependable.

you could go to your local electrical supply store and tell them you need a light for your driveway area. they will build you one to suit your needs so i'd ask for a 250w which is good for a couple plants or starting 8-10 seedlings.

buying seeds before your equipment is kinda like buying fish before the aquarium...

also, you really should do some reading and learn the terms so you'll know what you're talking about when you get started. you're reading it here anyway so might as well do some advance homework and save us some typing...

    here's a good start:
