Probably not. If it has at least 2 sets of true leaves, and you are using weak ferts, you're fine.

That stuff is potent redsoxian...transition them with 1/10th - 1/4 - 1/2 -3/4 strength till they've gotten over the hump of sprouting.

But yea....14 days from germing is the time to begin adding nutes.

Use 1/4 of what it says on the bottle. I don't know what the dosage for that smelly shit is of the top of my head.

I have some of that stuff, stinky you say use 1/4 of what it says on the bottle? Well there are different amounts for different kinds of plants. Which directions should we follow?

That's for getting young plants used to ferts. You should ramp up to full strength of what it says on the bottle. If you have instructions for different types of plants, of different life stages, just use your common sense. So if the rate is 1 tsp/gallon for vegetables, start off with 1/4 tsp/gallon and work up gradually to 1 tsp/gallon.
Honestly I just work a little fish emulsion into my soil mix and let it sit for a while before I even plant anything, then the next time I use it is transplanting into the plants' final containers, the 3-gals. I squirt a little into the soil and mix it up well. This has helped me avoid the 'oh crap, flowering week 3 and my lower leaves are already yellowing' problem everyone bitches about.

Damn! I knew there was a reason why my lower fan leaves fell off too early. I stayed with 1/4 strenght all thru the grow. Common sense, what's that?

you always refer to tomatoe or pepper instruction...or fruiting flowering plants...O fcourse some manufacturers...list formulas like...germination...seedlings...veg...medium sized plant...mature, flowering...trees...etc In these cases use the recommended dose for the appropriate time of the grow cycle.

I never nute...until the plant has 4-5 trues sets of fan leaves...It doesn't need nutes any sooner. Then I go 1/2 formula for 1 week, then full tilt boogie...If you have the proper meters and stay up on your grow, you can use nutrients at full strength week 3 or so...peace hope this helps.

p.s. I moved this thread to basic growing where it belongs...The lounge is for relaxing with somewhat off=topics...not growing advice...peace
