I have a couple of seeds from a bagseed that I have been trying to germinate. I have placed them between two folded wet paper towels that were placed in an airtight tupperware in which was placed on top of my fridge. I placed a dish cloth over it to block out any light. After day three, the shell starts to split and you can see white but there is not really a tongue sticking out just yet. Thats it. It does no more. It's now been a 8 days and still no tongue/root tip. It's just split a little and you can see some white in there as it was five days ago. I have made sure that the paper towels its in is moist, warm and dark. I don't know whats wrong. If they weren't viable, they wouldn't have started to split, right? Should I just throw em out or do you think it's just this particular unknown strain needs a longer germination time.
