Yep, I use it for the sims to

    Just one thing.

You mentioned you've been using Roxio and they're messing up your CD's...how? Are they complete coasters? Reading errors? Cyclic Redundacy Error?

The reason I ask is that most software does suddenly start burning coasters out of the blue. It is quite possible that the laser is misaligned or the head needs to be cleaned. If you try additional software (and I +1 Nero...good stuff) and you still have the same problem. First try to burn a CD/DVD at the lowest speed. If that is unsuccesful, get one of those cleaning kits (Rat Shack) to clean the head and try again to burn at the slowest speed. If that still doesn't work, your problem is either your drive or your media. You can try using a different brand of CDR/DVDR but usually, it'll be the drive itself.

Say you download an .iso of a game you want, instead of burning it and maybe wasting a disk, you can mount it in dameon tools and install and play the game without putting it on an actual disk. Pretty nifty. What are you trying to do with it?
i'm trying to play a copyed game. i think i got a screwed up download coz i can't open it, when i 'mount an image' it say 'please wait' but does nothing. i might have to redownload a new copy.

Try to open the image in a program like winrar. see if you can extract the data to a folder. if not, then you prolly have a corrupt download. If it extracts, then I dunno. It may be a dameon tools issue. Alchohol 120 works in the same fasion. Another download couldn't hurt.
