hey Zandor question - trimming
hi,
It all depends on your preference of smoke. I, myself, trim right down to the buds. I like a nice clean, close cuts, for a smoother smoke.
Leaving the sugar covered leaves on the buds will not make it more potent. If anything, it will be a harsher smoke.
I suggest trimming those leaves as close to the buds as you can, and then making hash or something with the sugar trimmings.
By those pictures, I would trim some more.
I'm curious, what kind of lighting did you use to grow these? They look very loose and wispy.

very loose and wispy! lol
It is nev.haze - outdoor under 35-40C(day lite) from my collection, i did not use any chemical nutrient, pure animal manure only.

Ah, a Haze, that explains the appreance of looseness. They sometimes lack in solid buds, but the potency is amazing.
I wasn't trying to offend you, I was just wondering.
Oragnics too. Way to keep it organic. I use organics as well.
Fish Emulsion for veg., and Bat Guano for flower.

you need a small set of scissors to do the job properly. i use a mustache trimmer that has a narrow point that allows me to chase the stem down to the branch w/o damaging the flowers.
but i am wondering about your harvest time as i grew neville's haze a couple years ago and it doesn't finish until beginning of november-ish (as do most sativa's with many going much longer!) and if you already harvested your outdoor plants then that would explain the feathery buds...you harvested way too soon. had you let it go to its normal harvest date they would have come out reddish and solid with long, fairly narrow buds with a spicy, peppery taste.
