I've worked for them all; SFX, CapStar, ClearChannel, etc. and where I would agree with you that commercially, we just seem to be puking up the same stuff, I would disagree about the lack of a revolution. Thanks to colleges, art/indie pushes and many other off-beat venues, I think you will always find the constant creativity. It may not be mainstream and the artists may never get rich from it, but that's what makes it so appealing for so many in the first place.

The funny thing about producing and sending folks to different labels is that I hear the same thing over and over again from artists who hate commercial artists. They bitch because they can't make a living playing a local coffee house, but the idea of getting big money from getting airplay and huge venues suddenly changes all that.

Fact is, even the most "pop" of most of today's artists are extraordinarily talented and worked their ass off to get there. Keep playing the Virginia venue man, you've got a neat sound. And who knows, maybe someday soon, you'll get a call from someone who you least expect offering to help you start your own musicial revolution.
