It is normal for the branch near the leaf to be a bit purple, if it is really purple it could be due to a colder temperature than the plant is used to.

    Hey, a few fellow Albertans!

Where you guys from? I live in Red Deer. That's right inbetween Calgary and Edmonton, and about 150km away from each city, so I'm close!

    Nice plants guy! Really nice.

Unfortunatly, it is impossible to tell what strain it is. Even if it's at harvest time, it is impossible to pinpoint what strain or kind it is.

You can tell by the leaves though if it's Indica dom. or Sativa dom. Indicas have really fat leaf blades, and grow shorter, thicker, and stalky.

Sativas on the other hand, have really thin, spaced out blade leaves, and grow tall, and lanky.

A lot of the times these days, strains usually have a mix of the two different kinds, so if it's kind of inbetween for you, then it's a cross.

Just treat them well and feed them right. It will pay off in the end and they will reward you.

stems going purple has something to do with phosphorus i thought...hmm I dont remember but it happened to me when i started growing. Leaves going purple are either your phenotype or cold temps
