    Salvia Question

Well long story short, I was at a historical site with my family and they had a lot of plants and the plants had their labels by them and some said salvia, I forget what the flower looked like, but the leaves were kind of thick and a dark purple almost. Is this the same salvia that you can smoke? Or is there different kinds of salvia?

Well I'm hoping it is because the place is close to my house and I'd go and take all those plants, if it's the good stuff...

    Salvia Question

no dude.. its probly not salvia denorium (or however its spelled.) which is the only type of salvia plant that you can smoke. i worked at a farm for a little while and i thought that too, at first. but i soon learned that there are many many different types of salvia, none of which were grown at the farm i worked at.

    Salvia Question

ya there are alot of types of salvia... but salvia divinorum isnt at all common to just find growing in a garden or somthing

ie if some one says they have a salvia plant, its probably not salvia divinorum (unless they would only grow a plant to smoke it)

    Salvia Question

Salvia is the name of the mint family of plants... I'm guessing that it was just a common mint plant. Salvia D. is not common anywhere except places that only sell it.
