    Headies vs. mids in brownies

Ive heard that because youre baking them as apposed to smoking them, headies are a waste in brownies and you get just as fucked up with 7 g's of mids than with 7 g's of headies....is this true or just a rumor?

I would mostly agree with that statement. I definitely would say the equal amount of headies will be significently stronger, but NOT significently stronger to outweigh the price difference. Around here (a part of california), an ounce of shake is like $25-$50. An eighth of bud is $25-$50. So you get 28 grams or 3.5 grams. Now the 3.5 grams is more potent for sure, but is it 8 times more potent? Certainly not.

I have always had better results cooking with large large amounts of shake and trimmings, rather then small amounts of bud. If the bud is really crappy, I would make hash out of it rather then food. I reserve food for the worst stuff. A half pound of trimmings can make a few sticks of pretty damn potent butter if you boil long enough.

    Headies vs. mids in brownies

I did sort of an experiment with friends using mids and highs, not TOO much of a difference, but I began to have some def. CEV with the highs, like I was on a roller coaster. I will try shake next time, though.

    Headies vs. mids in brownies

I just used the budlets, the mini-buds that pop up farther down stalks from the main buds. I used 2.5 ounces of those (dry weight), with a 48 fluid ounce of canola oil, crockpotted them together on low for a bit over 7 hours. Then strained out the plant matter and made some brownies. They came out perfectly! 1 brownie and you feel it, and 2 will get you wasted for 6+ hours. The amount of oil I got from that was enough for 11 pans of brownies, with 16 brownies per pan. That's 176 brownies, or 88 really strong 2-brownie stonings.

Those budlets were probably a bit below 'highs', but definitely better than mids. They were a mixture of White Rhino and AK-48. I kept the real buds to smoke, kept the leaves (mixed with trim leaves) to roll joints for the woman to smoke alone (her personal stash), and used the budlets to make the oil.

In fact, that oil came out so perfectly great, that I recommend that recipe to anyone. The high was great, just kinda crept over me until I was laying in bed laughing at how stoned I was. And it lasted like three times longer than smoking it. I'm kinda scared to try three brownies, but I have six left from my half of the pan, so I'm considering eating one next time, two the time after that, and then the last three to finish off the pan.

If anyone else wants to try it, here's the recipe again:

    Ingredients:
2.5 ounces of dried buds or budlets
1 bottle of canola oil, 48 fluid ounces

    Directions:
    Put buds/budlets in crockpot
    Pour oil over plant matter
Turn crockpot on low and cook for 6-10 hours, stirring frequently
Pour oil through cheesecloth or any other finely woven cloth to strain
Pour strained oil, now reddish-brown, into bottle, store in fridge, keep from light

Makes enough oil for 11 family-sized pans of brownies (16 brownies per pan), 12 pans if you're really good at squeezing the oil out of the cheesecloth when straining.

Obviously this recipe is not intended to make a quick fix for one person for one night. This quantity will last you a long time. This is intended for those who (like me) are too lazy to do this every time you want to make a pan of brownies, and want to do it in bulk less frequently. It's great for medicinal use, or just getting incredibly stoned for a long period of time.

I'd love to try it, but I have 3.5oz of shake, would this be enough?
