Getting a clone and growing for the first time.

So i am expecting to grow for my first time within the next month, right now I have a potential clone coming my way, I have never recieved a clone before so before I pay for it I was wondering if there was any ways to make sure its "good" before I actually set out to start growing, or do I just have to wait it out and hope for the best. It is suppose to be an Ak47 hybrid of sorts ( i am getting the details this weekend, when i talk to someone more close to the clone.) but I plan to grow the single plant in a 36"(w)x72"(h) portable closest , so i was wondering what kind of lighting would be best for the plant in the space I have, what's the best way to keep it ventilated without the smell coming out to much and maybe a good reccomendation on good easily available soil to use.

Keep it moist, give it a spray every few hours.

Is it going to come planted in soil? If so it will be much easier for you clones are quite hard to get going at first. Dont give it nutrients until it's a decent size and put half a big 'soda' bottle over it for humidity if it's not planted.

In a closet I wouldn't recommend anything over 600w, use a small fan moving across the plant to give it good strong stems. A carbon filter is good for getting rid of smells though they can be expensive.

    I've been using coco soil it's trouble-free.
