Hey everyone, first post here...but i've been using these boards for years. Anyway, i've grown twice before, but it was just for fun - using a compact flourescent. Results were as to be expected...nothing special. This year, i planted a couple of seed mid April, and one plant survived. I've been letting the plant sit on my balcony(closed in) - and it's usually received direct sunlight from about 8:30am-5:30pm (we've had an abnormally high amount of days with lots of sun this year...) I thought the plant was doing quite well for just sitting there, with no effort put in from me (it's just in a small pot with plain potting soil, watered with Britta water daily, and pruned occasionally) - so about a month or so ago, i started putting it inside at night with a compact flourescent on it from about 8:30pm-8:30am. I started it on a 12/12 cycle yesterday, with the plant being outside on my deck from 8am-8pm, then inside dark closet.

2 things: ... I'm wondering what kind of quality i might get using this lighting setup...how will getting 8 or so hours of direct sunlight a day, plus some indirect for a few hours compare to a setup with some proper lights/setup(halide or similar)?

...Any tips/advice you guys could offer me as to what i can do over the next few weeks to get the most out of my plant? I've attached a couple of not so great pictures.
