Please read- rapid rooter question
I have a clone in a rapid rooter and it needs to be placed in a medium ASAP. I was planning to put it into soil but I changed my mind. I would like to grow it hydroponicly. Do I have to remove it from the rapid rooter before I can put in the hydropnic medium or can I leave it it tact? The roots are already through the rooter hanging down. If I remove it from the rooter I think I might hurt the root system so I would rather just place it in tact in the basket with the clay in my hydro. I'm just not sure if the rapid rooter would cause mold or other problems.

Please read- rapid rooter question
By the way, the guy that I asked at the hydro store said he never heard of anyone who used rapid rooters for hydrogardens only in soil, so he wasn't sure if it was possible to put them in a hydrogarden without future problems.

Zandor uses those, and he told me he carefully cuts that netting away and then places in hydro system. I am assuming once the netting is cut loose they kind of just fall apart.

Zandor does not use rapid rooters. He uses peat pellets for seedlings, and Z clones with an aero-unit.
I use rapid rooters for seedlings, and rockwool for clones.
The rapid rooters are excellent for any type of growing method...It is an organic starter...that is all. It is tree bark and gypsum.
Just put the rapid rooter in a netpot and use hydroton expanded clay pellets to backfill around it.
It is in fact an ideal starter. I was looking for an alternative to peat pellets and rockwool when I came across rapid rooters, and will not effect your ph in hydro...peace latewood
