music software
Hi all. I love music but I've never taken the time to learn an instrument. My fave kind of music is electronica and would love to be able to create my own music. Do any of you folks know of software to make music? I've done a google search but was wondering if anyone had any prior experience with programs making their own music.

fruit loops is basic, if you want to make good electronic productions look for cubase or reason.

Acid Pro is really quite nice, especially the latest version. It's really simple to use, but it's also very powerful and extensible, and is used by lots of professional musicians. You can plug Reason into Acid as a Rewire slave. You can plug Fruityloops into Acid as a slave too, although there's not much reason to do that.

Yeah, I'm into mixing a bit as well. I've used Fruity Loops and DSS DJ, and I like them both equally because they can do different things. Just mess around with both of them and see which one you like better. I prefer DSS for when I am actually mixing together tracks, but I like to use Fruity Loops when I am making songs, loops, sounds, etc.
