Santa Fe smoke?

Hey! Greetings from The City Different! I fit in well here, in that I donâ??t fit in. Yes, I am an alien -- not the sort from Mars but from my own internal, unconventional world - and not much interested in running with the pack. And I have not mastered the art of the short, breezy email -- why bother communicating if you arenâ??t going to say anything?

Iâ??m a long-time smoker who quit a couple months ago, not because I was convinced it was bad for me, but because I had smoked so regularly for so long that I thought perhaps I should explore life sober for a while -- and losing patience with the jerk who was my source was an additional motivation. My conclusion is that life is a great deal less interesting and exciting and fulfilling without THC running through the system. Itâ??s really quite flat and lacking both inspiration and motivation. Until I quit, I was a very prolific and productive artist; since then, Iâ??ve had few ideas and those Iâ??ve had have petered out in dead ends. And my irritation and impatience has gone through the roof. This canâ??t be healthy!

While itâ??s true that my dream life is much more active without the smoke, I also find that I spend a lot more time in bed and get less real sleep, and none of my dreams have given me the sense of fulfillment and meaningfulness that I found in my stoned contemplations. The only real advantage Iâ??ve experienced is dropping the cough, and frankly it doesnâ??t seem worth it.

My conclusion -- itâ??s been a useful experiment but itâ??s time to find a new source (as growing my own isnâ??t an option at this time). Anybody have any suggestions about how to do this safely?
