    flint and butane. i have a zippo (flint and lighter fluid). the electric and butane ones would be better then bics which i use if they didn't have those horrible things that you can't get out.

    I never bother with the safety locks anymore. I can pull them off for people in a second with a needle nose pliers, but I usually lose lighters within 48 hours of buying them anyways.

    good thread, i always bust them off cause its just easier, i use a knife or fork or what ever's handy

    ive never ruined a lighter doing it its a just a little strip of metal that keeps your finger from spinning the wheel that strikes the flint, unless you push it down, you can just pry it out

    i used to take the safety off, but stopped cause it doesnt really make a difference to me.

    sometimes other people do it for me if it bugs them, but ive never done it myself
