Ever caught your kids smoking bud?

Dont get me wrong, I went thru some seriously hard times with my son in his teen years...especially between 13 and 15. I absolutely forbidded him from smoking even though I knew he was doing it.

I preached to him so many times about the dangers of drugs, how I thought that weed was ok but going onto others things is not and smoking at the age of 14 simply would not be tolerated. I know this is when he started (14) and it was hard for me to handle because I knew I started at 16 and that I guess was what I thought to an acceptable age just because that was when I started, but again it would not be tolerated around me to see.

So many kids are starting too young in my mind, but my kid has turned out alright.

Now I cant be everyones dad here.....

I think a big mistake parents make is the assumption that your kid is actually going to listen to you.
There comes an age where they realize they'll do what they want to do. By punishing your kid for the descisions he/she makes at that age, they'll just not trust you with anything in the future.
IMO, the best approach is to educate them as best as you can, warn them of the truth, actually acknoledge the lies told in schools and on tv, and try to send them off with the protection of truth. Not the pain of blind consequence. It's sad how stubborn my parents were. Eventually, you create whole alternative lives for them to admire and leave you alone.
All becuase of the stubborn blind inability to actually question your own ideals and perspective.
Then there comes the day that the parent stops trying to fashion their child in their image, and see them for the person that they truly are, a completely unique human with it's own feelings and dreams and desires.

Yeah I use to smoke with my dad all the time but he always got dirt shit so I would always say fuck it and bring my shit out I think he did it on purpose to get out of paying because sometimes when i got home he would be smoking some crazy ass shit but never seemed to have it when we smoked. When I'm low and can't get my usual i just head to the nearest high school and get there shit wish I Really like those kids get some crazy ass weed its that or they have the worst shit ever. I wish i was still in school I could just walk to the smoking street find one of the 80 dealers who I knew only fucked with dank and bought. Then I realized that if i hung out with them I could smoke Dank for free so thats what I did

i think this is one of the problems parents have.... understanding that their kids have a private life just like them selves... they always want the kid to tell them their secerets while at the same time see no reason they should tell the kids their secerets.... also like said they have their own desires and generally no wats going to make them happy and such.....

A few years ago my 16 year old son had his buddy stay the night and his buddy went outside at like 10pm. I look out the window and see him go behind the garage. I'm like what the fuck?

I sneek over there and I' walk right up behind him and say, "What the fuck you doing?"

"Well Mr. so and so, you said we couldn't smoke in the house so......"

I say give me that..........he hands it over and I proceed to take a huge hork off the doob he was smokin' it was some damn good hydro'.....

I say....."Cant believe you kids actually smoke this dirt weed." He looked at me reall strange and prolly thought to himself, damn they make better than this? and then I walked away laughing to myself.

Man did I have a glow from that shit man!!

Now my kid is 19 yrs old and we blaze together all the time....I'm actually surprised that the youngins actually get their hands on that sticky stuff.

Where I live at, myself and others around my age (17) are the ones that are getting the old timers their smoke for them...we're just like you...we want to get high.

Its true though. My parents know I dirnk and know I smoke but because I do it in a responsibole way they dont bother me about it.

Still wish my dad would toke with me though I knwo he did at my age for a fact and wish he would try it again with me.

And my dad makes fun of me for smoking "dirt weed" all the time. The only weed they've taken from me was some bc's so my dads pissed im paying 10$/g for "dirt weed".
