Nope, other way around. The hot charcoals go on the bottom of the bowl, and you put the herb on top of the lit charcoals. The herb will start to smoke quickly from the hot coals.

WTF Charcoal + Hookahs how do they work arnt you supposed to put the charcoal ON the weed after its lit not in the top and turn the top upside down onto the weed?
