cleaning a pipe?

WOW you werent kidding about nailpolish remover working. i just dipped my pipe in for a second and the resin is falling off! im gonna leave it in afor a couple of hours to get it all off but thanks a LOT for the suggestion im gonna get wasted tonight now

I FORGOT TO TELL YOU GUYS TO RINSE IT W/ SOAP AND WATER AFTERWARDS. NAIL POLISH REMOVER IS DANGEROUS IF INHALED.

yeh BUT it also evaportaes at a low temperature so if you leave it out for a while it dries fast and its safe. i cleaned it with boiling water anyway just to be sure, its nice and sparkeling now

Even if it evaporates, not all of the chemicals in there will, there will undoubtably be some residual chemicals that cannot, CANNOT, be healthy. Isopropyl Alcohol is legal, it's freaking rubbing alcohol. Just go to your local pharmacy or drugstore, hell most big-box stores probably carry it.

Also, I don't know what either nail polish remover and rubbing alcohol will do to finishes on wood pipes and the like. I have no idea if it starts to deteriorate or not, and don't want to find out by it happening to my pipe. Never endanger your paraphernalia if you can avoid it... treat it like your own flesh and blood.
