When should i add nutes
I have a quick question about the topic and I didn't want to make a whole new thread.
Is it better to feed your plants with every watering or every few weeks?

Are you guys talking about in the veg stage or flowering? I was looking for the same answer. I have two smallies that are about 2 weeks old and looking nice so far.
Maybe I'll wait another week or two before giving any nuts.

If you are going to use nutes wait at least one month before adding any. And if you do add nutes do it in quater strength. I would suggest not using nutes at all though. But if you do remember to flush the plants out a couple weeks before harvest. You don't want to be smoking some chemicals do you?

What kind of soil are you using? Most soils have a enough nutes to carry the plant threw the first 3 weeks of growth, but even with that many growers supplement nutes in small doses during that time, building up to stronger doses throughout the plants life cycle. In regards to watering, again it depends on soil mix, if you have allot of perlite in the mix than you need to water more often. a good feeding routine IMO is to feed nutes for 2 feedings and then on the third feed with strait water. Some even do a full flush on the third feeding so to make sure there are no salt build ups in the soil. A flush may go like this, if you have a 1 gallon pot then flush with 2 to 3 times the amount of water that the container holds, so for a 1 gallon you would go with 3 gallons of water. Remember to pore the water slowly so not to flood the roots and make sure that the pot has a good amount of drainage holes. Some just take to the sink and flush it with the faucet, but this can have a down side because of tap water PH.
A 1 gallon pot with 25 to 50% perlite may need to be watered every 2 days, but this may depend on your room temps and humidity because this will affect water constancy. Some people actually wait for the plant to start drooping, showing signs of dehydration before they feed, this is not my method, but it is used by some. Another thing you can do is to lift the pot when it is dry and then check it when it is watered to get a good idea of what your pots feel like when they need water, some go as far as to weigh their pots, wet weight and dry weight.
Well hope this helps some folks.
