Sticky Bud.. even after dried and cured?

Listen, I tried to search here, but it only seems to let me do one-word searches now???????

Anyway, I cant find out anything on this, so I am asking.

Dried for 2 weeks, cured for 2 months.

The bud is still so sticky that it make it hard to break up and even roll. It keeps sticking to fingers.

Is this normal? I have never grown my own, just bought it, so I was even surprised to learn that having no seeds in your bud was normal if you grew it right...lol

Everything from look, smell and handling is different than what was in the bag I got the seed from. (no I have not smoked any yet...lol still working on that)

Well there it is. If anyone can tell me if this seems normal for grown at home stuff
    Thanks

I keep a 55 gallon barrel of rubbing alcohol handy, to wash my hands in, Sticky! It can be hard to keep it lit, because of the resin. You are headed for the promised land, you lucky dawg! Tell the dealers, you don't need their schwag anymore.

    Thanks guys.
This has been paved with so many surprises! I am hoping to try it out this evening or tomorrow. What a difference between this and what I was buying.

Thanks too on the heads up about keeping it lit! That probably would have been my next question!

I also may have to look into a pipe or bong... very good responses, thanks!

I am glad to hear it is normal... I was worried I didnt dry/cure it right!

I have been having the same problem with the search function lately and it is kinda bothersome.
But anyway, good luck with those homegrown buds. They sound great. get back to us as soon as possible!

    Thanks to everyone. Seriously.
This was quite a bit better than the stuff we have bought in the past. I used a coffee grinder (bought just for this) to grind it up cuz it just would not have smoked well cuz it could not be broken up well. Finally got it to a point where it could be rolled a bit easier that before.

As for the smoke. Besides a very mild taste... you could not even tell if you got a hit...lol (Until you exhaled) No coughing or hacking (which we were used to). Very smooth.

We can usually kill a whole joint, but after 3 hits, my wife said she was done. We laughed and decided to continue at least to finish half of it. Man alive.

I got way too much. It was, however, exactly the way I wanted it. More of a heady, hyper high. A very small amount of body buzz, no real couch lock to speak of. But I was twitching and laughing for about 3 hours before I just passed out...lol I think a little less next time would be perfect.

    Maybe just 3-4 hits... or a much smaller/thinner spliff...lol

Next grow I am going to try to grow for body buzz/couch lock. So I have both depending on my need/want.

I cannot believe the difference between this, and the bag that the seed came from. Who would have ever thought they were from the same genes? Dang. What a difference.
