Hey man I got the same problem. Installed a small in the wall air conditioner to keep the room cooler and my humidity was in the low 20's. Just bought a small room humidifier. So far so good. My humidity has gotten back up mid 40's. Still playing with it and the air conditioner to get everything cordinated. Leaving in the desert is fucked. The heat outside is so hot. Good luck

and I think it should work pretty well. I have used something similar in the past with the crystals that absorb the moisture in the air into a bucket and it worked fine. You can also buy for about $70 a machine that dehumidifies the water in the air into a bucket also but that works on electricity and filters I think. I just have a little closet so I think this $7.99 thing should work. You just have to buy more crystals over time!
