hmmm so you are going to tell this guy to waste a whole month by storing it instead of a simple cure? Get real man, take advantage of your situation and cure the shit. The longer you cure better your stuff is going to be, mason/pyrex jar the stuff in a dark corner of a dresser or something along those lines.

Since these guys are so brilliant let me tell you why not to store it in the freezer. Any trichomes on your buds will be brittle and break off very easily. Its not nessicarily a bad thing but in the end you are going to lose more when you could have just done it the RIGHT way. These people dont grow, they are talking out of their ass, which IMO is quite annoying when im trying to give you good advice.

Jar it, store it, open it ATLEAST once a day for about 10-15 mins, twice couldnt hurt, enjoy

storing pot for about a month????

Well, I dunno about the longer they cure, the better. At least according to the book I read, 'The Cannabis Grow Bible' by Greg Green, the maximum potential is reached at 8 weeks of curing, and after that the chemicals slowly degrade over time. That's why after eight weeks of curing, I toss them in the refrigerator. (Where they still continue to cure, btw, just slower. I still have to crack the jars once in a while to release moisture.)

The main reason I use the refrigerator after the 2-month cure is that mold is less likely to thrive in a cold environment, and mold is the greatest danger to your buds once you've got them jarred. I don't freeze them because freezing/unfreezing causes damage to the cell walls of vegetables, so I was scared it'd do the same to cannabis and might make them droopy and crappy-looking after they're thawed. (But I don't really know for sure, since I've never risked it.)

And making a blanket statement that 'we don't grow' is inaccurate. I do grow my own, although I just use a cabinet, no fancy grow room. Still, you pull a pound of dried bud out of a cabinet enough times and you do learn a few things.

I apologize, but it seems like most in here dont grow. I grow in cabinets myself as well, its the best bang for your buck if your growing personal.

Ive read books that each say a different fact about how long is too long of a cure and ive read many debates dating back to overgrow on the issue. I wouldnt go ahead and believe just anything you read, i have the grow bible as well and I personally do not like those books very much.

Ive cured for 4 months before and I can tell you that stuff was one hell of a smoke compared to my 2 month buds. Smooth as water and bursting with rich flavor. To tell you the truth if I did lose a bit of THC to degrading, which I could not tell at all it seemed stronger if anything, it was worth it. Ive never had any problems with mold nor have I seen any of my friends have to deal with this due to a long term cure as long as it was dried and handled properly.

My most recent grow I took a shot at water curing and I have to tell you that takes the cake if you are an inpatient guy like myself. Plus you can add nutes all the way up until you chop which gives you more weight in the end. To each his own!
