The Mars Volta. Not really the same sound as ATD-i but if you're into Omar Rodriguez's solo albums you'll probably like the Mars Volta.

Not at all actually. ATDI's signature sound is displayed in Acrobatic Tenement, In/Casino/Out and the Vaya EP. ATDI's Relationship in Command is the preequal to what become to Mars Volta. While it still captured the ATDI sound, you can hear that this was going in a different direction. You can hear the hints of the latent expermentalism which would explode in the Tremulant EP by The Mars Volta. I like the Mars Volta, but ATDI had a sound like no other, I mean, hear Sparta, it's a former shell of ATDI once had.

alright a little update....I quit for a good month or so and kinda got back into the habit at school, we have a hour and 20 mins for lunch and there is nothing to do at lunch besides smoke. I had a real hard time making up my decisions about what I wanna do and who I wanna hang out with and I think Im just gonna smoke alot less(only at lunch mostly) and hangout with more people, not just the stupid stoner friends I have right now(I like em but their retards lol). I kinda think I was caring a bit too much about what people think about me and so im just gonna do whatever makes me happy and if friendships fade its just what was ment to happen.I might start posting again on this board but I havnt quite made up my mind yet.

O and it wasnt over something stupid like a girlfriend lol, it was more about failing school and sitting on a couch on friday nights just smoking pot...

Cant say ive ever hear of them. A lil break now n then doesnt hurt.Not only only does it do your bank balance good, it clears your head and when you do pick up the bong/schpliff again it hits you like a noob! At the mo i havent toked for two weeks, cant remember the last time i did that as im a chronic smoker. I decided to take a break as i needed to get my head straight and sort out priorities. Once im there believe im jumping back on the band wagon!
