    Drying and Curing

Drying and curing will be easier over time and with experience. If it's done wrong you will have trash, but Iā??ll share a trade secrete I harvest the whole plant. Sever the main steam using a limb saw about an inch off the ground. Hang the plants upside down so the leaves protect the buds. I put them in a dark shed outside in my yard. I let them hang in the shed for two weeks without being disturbed. With room for transfer of fresh air. After two weeks I cut each branch off the main stem then you cut each branch 18 inches. Each section with buds attached and leafs drying over the buds and then I put them all in a big Rubbermaid bin. The bin will be full to about three quarters to the top. Everyday for like ten days or so, I unpack all the buds and let them air for about a minute and put the ones on the top on the bottom and the ones previously on the bottom on the top. So it rotates them. That is why I leave leafs on them for protection. After about ten more days of flipping the buds I trim off leafs and stems. I trim the big leafs off and leave the smaller ones attached. I can use the excess leaf and put them in my compost pile. Most of the sun leafs will turn yellow and fall off when the plant is still growing. On the steam I cut all the small buds off leaving the cola. And I put them all in a zip lock bag. And there are bigger leaves I manicure off before I smoke the bud. And I put them in a smaller Rubbermaid container and put them in the freezer. And I add a couple drips of water in each bag before I freeze them. When I want to smoke some I take some out and zip it back up and re freeze the buds. I keep the ones I am smoking in a separate container so I donā??t ruin the pot by opening and closing the bag. You will rupture break or rub off crystals if you keep getting into the same bag to get more out everyday. Take a quarter or so out when needed. I want to keep all the manicured leafs separated from the buds I am smoking so I can use them later on in recipes. :rasta:

If over a period of time u decide to get a leaf in place it in the mason jar for ur buds to soften up, NOW if you smoke it soft instead of dry will that be the same as if smoked ur buds without drying, because in this cause the buds have already been dried now there gettin a bit of moisture back??????
