Once more states continue to take steps easing up on marijuana, I would say that the rest of the states might follow along once the people realize that the other states aren't having any negative reactions because of pot decriminalization. Time is all we need. As for now, they haven't stopped people from using pot...ever. Just be careful and don't let the wrong people know about what you do and you should be good. One day we will be able to smoke in public without being frowned upon.

This is just a prediction, but I say Cannabis use will be decriminalized in most of the US in about 5 years for medical and recreational use. I'm just talking about certain amounts for personal use, like a few plants or a few ounces of dried bud - that doesn't really cover distribution laws. Most people I talk to think it will be longer, but there's not many citizens who are opposed to it - it's mostly just the FDA and government's bullshit holding up the process.
