well they way i see it street lights are on all winter they are HPS bulbs and MH so i think you would be ok your concern should be will the plants survive such cold conditions but with a 1000watts that should still heat the space up a bit

I am setting up my new secret project and am wanting to shove my 1000w Hortilux bulb which is in an Air cooled hood in a fairly small space. I am wanting to vent the hood using my 170 cfm vortex fan, to bring cool air from the outside in threw the hood, but in the winter here temps get down to 20 below. Will that kind of cold air on the bulb cause it to just explode? I may just bring in air from another part of the room, which I can keep cool with the window cracked allowing a controlled amount Rating: 5
