    Will my 1000w Hortilux explode?

I am setting up my new secret project and am wanting to shove my 1000w Hortilux bulb which is in an Air cooled hood in a fairly small space. I am wanting to vent the hood using my 170 cfm vortex fan, to bring cool air from the outside in threw the hood, but in the winter here temps get down to 20 below. Will that kind of cold air on the bulb cause it to just explode? I may just bring in air from another part of the room, which I can keep cool with the window cracked allowing a controlled amount of cool air to come in, but this will take a little more work.
Perhaps this is a no brainer, but I never claimed to be a genius.

well they way i see it street lights are on all winter they are HPS bulbs and MH so i think you would be ok your concern should be will the plants survive such cold conditions but with a 1000watts that should still heat the space up a bit

The plants wont be exposed to the heat, only the air cooled hood with light. Thanks for the input.

Just make sure when you screw the bulb in to wear gloves or use a towel to make sure your finger print oil dont get on the bulb (it could cause problems later) and make sure when you water the light is either off or your 100% sure that no water particles will get on the light.

Yeh I know about the oil thing, I always wipe them down and right now my unused lights are tucked away in some nice thick socks.
