BUT...the police cannot break the law during the course of an investigation. So if it really is a cop, they can't take a toke with you and then turn around and bust you.

A cop isnt going to make 1000 posts and then use that reputation to bust 1 pot head for a joint. That makes no sense because right after you got home you would post here saying X is a cop. How long do you think it took you to make 1000 posts? You think cop can justify busting just one guy after spending months making posts? Its hours and hours of time to have that many posts. Maybe if it was part of giant "internet drug sweep" ok. But i think you are pretty safe meeting one person in your area with 1000 posts. Just be careful there are baad people on this board. Ive met about 50 people from online weed sites, canada is alot more chill though. Having met one online rat/scumbag hasnt detered me from meeting other people. He, the scumbag, doesnt have many posts here so you dont need to worry, but he is here.
Cops toke, dont kid yourself. They cant commit a felony. Cops most certainly can toke with you and turn around and bust you. They can sell you weed and bust you for the weed they just sold you, in the usa anyway. Fuck they can follow you down the street and harass and threaten you to buy drugs and when you do they bust you.

I met a guy from here once. He asked me to get him weed a few times. I haven't spoke to him in months. He probably found it elsewhere so he didn't have to pay a middleman, which is completly understandable. I had no problems with him, but I was cautious when he first asked me. I was very careful the first time getting for him. No one busted me so I had no problems after that.

You just have to be careful at first. Ask questions and see if anything is sketchy. All you can do is say no.
