Where to get Mylar?

Hey, Iv'e checked every hardweare store in town and none of them even know what Mylar is, is there anywhere I can order it or sompthing I can use insted of it?.. Other then White paint??:stoned:

this might sound like a daft idea..but mylar is free!!!! its on the inside of all modern food wrappers! for instance if you buy 3 large bags of doritos or similar brand you will have a fairly good size sheet of it! Ofcourse in a large grow its pointless to think this will help, but in a small scrog cab or c-13 grow it makes sense!
And you get loads of crisps!!!!!!

There is also a product used for insulation under metal roofs that is white on one side and mylar on the other. It resembles bubble wrap but reflective. It comes on a roll 4x150 for about $120. Available anywhere you can buy metal roofing. Hope this helps.

white paint is NOT as reflective as Mylar, but the difference isn't so extreme as to discount it ... flat white paint IS a lot easier and cheaper to work with ... a GOOGLE search for Mylar will give you many, many sources for Mylar .... :smokin:

Don't waste the money on mylar. Spend it on better lighting, airflow, or nutrients. Mylar is simply a grow industry gimmick. It is something completly un-neseccary that they want you to think will boost light output by a lot.

Plus it's a pain in the ass trying to size it and stick it up and keep it completly flat.
