Humble first time seed buyer.... Need advice

Hi. I'm interested in buying some seeds from a company. I might seem like a fool asking some of these questions, forgive me if I'm asking dumb ones.

1. Is it legal in the U.S. (texas) to buy seeds?

2. What is the best seed company to buy from?

3. Is it safe to give address info?

4. How many can I get? What are the cheapest female seeds around?

The reason I want the cheapest is because I haven't grown and I don't want to spend a ton and grow a bad crop.

No, it is not legal. However, they don't tend to bust anyone for receiving seeds. If they find it, they send you a letter saying they've confiscated it. Doesn't hurt to be paranoid though, and ship them to a different address (if possible).

everyonedoesit is probably the best around, but they don't ship to US or Canada, so sorry man, i thought they did, but the best place to go now is the seeds and strains foruum on this site, they should help u out

I've been looking around myself for buying some seeds to grow a few plants in my closet. A lot of sites DON'T ship to the U.S. but I've found a few (I'm also in the U.S., Mass.). I e-mailed this site a few times and have spoken with them about shipping to the U.S. and they say they ship everywhere worldwide it's up to you not to get caught with them.

I don't know how reliable they are though but read this:
