Please, if you knew anything about music, you'd know these guys are unreal. What they did for the jam-band scene is amazing. Their talent is out of this world. Just listen to them, slapping out shit you thought never could be done!

Some people aren't into jam bands, though, but still, you gotta recognize talent when you see it. These boys have it, and lots and lots and lots of it.
as a bass player for almost 4 years now, i know about music and i know that they are talented, but its just not a style that i can really get into. did you ever think that maybe i'm not trying to "create my own identity as a stoner" and just don't like the jam band style? i have no desire to listen to someone play scales for 8 minutes and call it a song (yes, i realize that is a generalization :rasta: ). it does not interest me in the slightest. it has nothing to do with "not trying to be a part of something bigger," i just get no enjoyment out of listening to it. my friends at the school i transferred from were pretty big phish fans and one time we got stoned and watched an entire live DVD and i was bored with the whole thing. a live pantera DVD may have been a different story. phish and jam bands like phish are just not my style. call me crazy i guess, but i know what i like and i don't feel like i have to listen to jam bands because i smoke weed. i suppose you think since i don't have dreads i'm fighting against something bigger too?
