i owe it. i am a beginner bought my acoustic in jan and practiced for about a month then stopped. then stoned out of my nut six months i picked up my guitar and started jamming with the chords i new and learnt and loved it. finally got the spark and i have really improved this week, i mean iv learnt 20 new chords in the last week, fantastic man now im progressing i like playin stoned i mean it dont make you sound like jimmy hendrix but you do get joy with it

nice man :thumbsup: . same story here...my dad has an acoustic guitar he never got around to playing, so for some reason the only time i decided to play was when i got into weed....but ya acoustic is a very chill insrument to play, especially when blitzed. except i only know like 5 chords, but hey i'm learning.

I learned all my chords and scales under the influence of thc. I'd get high and play Pigs On the Wing and some other easy yet awesome stuff.

learn the notes on your finger board.
A a# B(no b sharp)C c# D d# E(no E sharp) F f# G g#, then back to A.
Standard Tuning,
E ---------------(low e)
A----------------
D-----------------
G-----------------
B---------------
E----------------(hi e)

The lines represent your string
Each string played open ,is called an open note. To make your low open E an F, simply press down on your first fret, next fret on same string would be F#, 3rd fret G, etc etc etc. Moving 1 fret is considered a half-step. 2 frets is a whole step.
You cant have B#, but you can have B flats, which is only by moving up your neck, backwards from C# C Bflat A# A
Same goes for the piano.
Have fun, and perhaps i can post some failry simple tabs for you to practice, and some pretty easy scales.

I love playing when I'm high. I tend to suck when I'm really high and start thinking about other things when I play, but a good jam is always fun.
