    The PH of water?

    LoL :P I have one

I forgot what it is called, but it is like litmus papper only blue, this tells you if the water is soft/hard. And my results clearly shows that the water coming from my tap is soft.

    Hard water :

Contains two harmless minerals; calcium and magnesium.
These minerals make the water hard to develop a sudsy lather. Water is considered "hard" if it measures more than 120 parts per million or 7.0 grains per gallon. Although hardness does not affect the safety of the water, some customers may find it to be inconvenient. Hardness minerals may also contribute to scaling in teapots, spots on dishes and residues on plumbing fixtures and glass shower doors. << I think it also might harm plants? >>

Soft water as i have just reserched is used in swimming pools

Also I have researched that in most homes in the northern parts of UK have very hard water with the pH of 8! Thats unbelievable! Also the water is raised from mountains such as from Scotland.

Near to the South + Irland in the West, the water is soft at a pH of 6ish.

Guessing games kill plants like these.

I wouldn't rely on a litmus test strip. But thats just me.
