When I roll, I always use a roach. I used to not to, until I met this guy from BC who said he had never seen anyone who hasn't used a roach in a joint, so were both amazed. It doesn't make a big difference, but I do it for a few reasons too.

1. The mouth end doesn't get all wet and sloppy
2. The mouth end doesn't close shut, again, due to spit, and if you have a smoker who slobbers all over the damn thing, it's can be unpleasant.
3. It gives me something to hold on to. It's like, built in roach clips.
4. You smoke the entire joint leaving no, stupid little piece of joint. If you;'re like me, you hate collecting dozens of joint ends and tearing them all open for a toke.

Plus, the only time I roll joints is if I'm in a group and with friends, so we might as well smoke the entire thing.

I don't care how other people roll theirs though. I won't refuse a joint when it comes my way.
