    slight problem with leaves

im at work so no pics yet i have taken them i just need to upload them when i get home.

heres the problem i have 2 plants 3 weeks into veg they are in organic soil with a PH of 6.9-7.0 on one plant the lower leaves are just starting to yellow on the tips the rest of it look good, the other plant doesnt have the yellow but more of a dullness and brittle on the edges kinda looks like nute burn but i havent feed them anything except water the nodes are tight together so they are receiving plenty of light.

i water them every 3-4 days sticking my finger in the soil half way making sure they are dry enough for a watering, im using a 150watt hps in a vented cab that is 32x16x16 with mylar and a glass heat shield the cab runs 80-84F heat really isnt a issue.

i picked up some blood meal 12-0-0 it states that it is used as a soil mix however they were transplanted already they took no shock from the transplant they were a little yellow before this.

i cant say its getting a lot worse but its not going away without some help either so can i just add the blood meal to the top of the soil or perhaps mix it right in the water other than this issue its seems like im doing well for my very 1st grow any help is appreciated.

    slight problem with leaves

ok after research and thinking i remembered that when i tested my water with those test strips i had VERY hard water the sticked turned purple indicating over a 900ppm i looked around and this can be a big factor so ill be leaving here(work) in 5 min to go home and check on the ladies il going to flush out my soil and use distilled water for now i already ordered calmag plus a few days ago to suppliment what the distilled water doesnt have im just still wondering if i should add the blood meal im unsure of how much to add to the top of the soil or if i should mix it right in the water.

    slight problem with leaves

so other than this problem by the way they look better today i gave them a small shot of P last night but how does everything look so far? how am i doing here so far?

i built this cab out of a TV stand i added mylar to the walls i made the reflector is it a tiny steel trash can cut in half the long way then i polished a piece of steel ducting and molding onto it then i cut a hole and installed a light socket.

there are passive intakes on the bottom covered by screen and a glass heat shield with PC fan exaust all in all it seems like its all working out.

i read how to grow for about a year before i took a crack at it i wanted to be prepared and i knew i would find myself here regardless of what equipment i have so thanks for anyhelp from here.

Do you notice any drooping in your plants? I can't tell, and I'm not that good, but you may be overwatering.

Where is your soil from? Some soils have slow-releasing nutes that can really mess things up.

Your PH sounds high. You should only be using distilled water, or if you can't, leave out some tap water for a few days.

I don't know about the bloodmeal, though I'd say you should use very low amounts (about 25% of how much it says to use) and start going up in little amounts from there, to see if it helps.

nope not over watering if anything it could have been underwatered, well i added a fair amount of bloodmeal to the top of the soil and gave them a real good watering and this mourning when i left they seemed a lot happier leaves streched wide open basking in the light still a bit of dryness but im guessing i need to give them a few days to recover all in all seems like its going good.

and the PH is right on the money 6.8-7.0 so its not a ph problem at all and the soil is from a garden center which is 100% organic i tested the soil itself and the ph was still 6.8-7.0 so i cant see the soil being the problem.

i believe 5.8-6.8 is the range u want your Ph at i think iron will lock out at 7.0 i could be wrong
